The purpose of the program is to secure hydro power’s competitive advantages, optimize future hydro power production with regards to flexible operation pattern and to find solutions to technical and environmental challenges in new emerging markets.

The projects in the portfolio will be related to technology, energy management, sustainability and pre engineering/engineering phases. Statkraft’s participation in Centre for Environmental Design of Renewable Energy (CEDREN) is also a part of the Future Hydro Power Program.
