A new Albanian concession law (December 2006) is now used for the first hydro power projects and open possibilities for Statkraft in Albania. The goal of Statkraft's activities in Albania is to identify feasible projects, apply for concession, Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) the powerplants according to the concessions.
Statkraft will use all its knowlege of hydropower to develop environmental-friendly and feasible projects that will amend the energy shortage in Albania.
