“In my job there is a mix of new challenges and familiar tasks.”

Why Statkraft?
After several years in the defense industry, I wanted to work in a company more related to my education and interest. Working with energy, and especially renewable energy, is important in order to fight the climate change. It is also technically challenging with fast development especially in wind and solar technology.

What is your role today?

I am Asset Manager for the Swedish wind farms in operation, such as Tollarpabjär, Stamåsen, Mörttjärnberget, Ögonfägnaden and Björkhöjden.

How is a typical day at work?

I start my day at 7:30 am after cycling to work and get a lot of work done before meetings start around 9 am. The meetings are both internal and external with our Joint Venture partners or contractors. After lunch, I usually spend some time in my office. At 4:30 pm I ride my bike home.

What motivates you?

In my job there is a mix of new challenges and familiar tasks. Moreover, I am motivated by a working climate where people have an open attitude and there is freedom of action, in combination with a high degree of individual responsibility and continuous feedback.

What best describes Statkraft?

A large company represented in many countries with an important vision and goal, but still small and familiar in relation to personnel. There are so many different job opportunities in different areas and markets, great way of learning by working, and highly competent colleagues.
