Power: 72 MW

Aurland II H is located in the Stonn Valley in Aurland Municipality, Sogn og Fjordane County.

The hydropower development in the Aurland Valley is an elegant network of dams, tunnels and power stations. The same water is used several times as it passes through the various power stations on its way from the high mountains to the fjord.

This power plant uses the height of fall down to Lake Viddalsvatn from two different levels. Aurland II L uses the lowest height of fall, while Aurland II H uses the largest, from the mountain reservoirs of Lakes Store Vargevatn, Svartevatn, Langavatn, Katlavatn and Berdalsvatn south of the Aurlands Valley.

Aurland II H was commissioned in 1983 and has a Francis turbine with an installed capacity of 72 MW.

The power plant has an annual mean production of 218 GWh.

E-CO Energi AS is the operator of Aurland II H power plant and responsible for daily operation.
