Jostedal is a hydropower plant in Luster Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane County. The power plant uses the height of fall from Lake Styggevatnet to the Jostedalselva River.
Lake Styggevatn is regulated between 1100 and 1030 metres above sea level, and the dam on the lake is 55 metres high. The reservoir capacity is 250 million cubic metres. Lake Kuppvannet is also a reservoir for the power plant, and is regulated between 1263 and 1190 metres above sea level. Water is also collected from several stream intakes. The reservoirs lie at the foot of the Jostedalsbreen glacier.
The power plant started production in 1990. The total height of fall from the upper regulating reservoir to the power station is 1186 metres. After the water is used in the power plant, it is led in a long outlet tunnel to Sognefjord. The installed capacity is 290 MW.
