Leirdøla power plant is located in Luster Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane County. The power plant uses the height of fall from Lake Tunsbergsdalsvatnet to the Jostedalselva River. Lake Tunsbergsdalsvatnet is regulated between 478 and 440 metres above sea level. The gross height of fall is 465 metres.
The power plant was commissioned and began production in 1978. The generating unit is equipped with a Francis turbine with an installed capacity of 125 MW.
The power plant was upgraded in 2012, when a control system, cooling system and new turbine runner were installed. The generator was also rebuilt to achieve a higher production than the original installation.
