The idea is, together with industry, to develop and own plants which recover energy based on waste gases, lost heat or energy which is not utilised optimally.

For industrial companies, changes in the power regime, new emissions requirements and waste disposal prohibitions have contributed to a new interest in energy efficiency in their own plants. With our expertise in thermal energy plants, licensing, project management and construction management and our willingness to invest in power and heat production, we can contribute to the establishment of such plants.

In Norway, the potential is estimated to be about 1 TWh per annum. In our other core markets in Sweden and Germany, there is also a considerable potential for energy efficiency in industry.
