The expertise and experience of the employees of Bio Varme will be important in the further development of district heating as a business area in Statkraft,” says Senior Vice President, Jon Brandsar.

“We welcome Statkraft as the new owner of Bio Varme. The existing owners wish to focus on their own regional projects, and the sale of the company to Statkraft is a good solution, both for Bio Varme and for the employees,” says Per Arne Karlsen, director of business development in Akershus Energi .

The final completion of the transaction is dependent on approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority
