The first energy delivery from offshore wind
The first kilowatt hour from the offshore wind farm at Sheringham Shoal has been delivered to the UK grid. The wind farm will be completed next year.

Doubling power production in Laos
The expansion of the Theun Hinboun Power Plant in Lao PDR is close to completion. The dam is almost finished and the two new powerhouses are awaiting completion of their units. In addition, a new Operation and Maintenance Agreement (OMA) is established with Statkraft which will manage the production of the new power plants-- close to 3 TWh yearly.
Offshore wind farm impressed the visitors
The Norwegian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Business and Industry recently visited the Statkraft and Statoil offshore wind farm off the coast of Britain, and they were very impressed with Statkraft’s first investment in offshore wind power.

Çakıt plant Socialcarbon certificated
Statkrafts’s hydropower plant in Turkey, Çakıt, is Turkey’s first hydropower plant holding Socialcarbon certification, and also one of the first hydropower plants in the world to receive this certification.
Statkraft moving eels in Lagan river
To contribute to the preservation of the eel population, Statkraft helped move 400 eels downstream in Lagan river last week. The move itself took place using a tanker from Tiraholm to Laholm.

First wind farm inaugurated
The sun shone from a clear blue sky, and the icy wind from the Baltic Sea got the wind energy generators running as Statkraft and Södra inaugurated their first joint wind farm in Sweden.
