Statkraft AS – result for the first quarter of 2012

(Oslo, 16. mai 2012) Statkraft oppnådde i første kvartal 2012 et underliggende1 driftsresultat før avskrivninger (EBITDA) på 4135 millioner kroner, sammenlignet med 4249 millioner kroner i tilsvarende kvartal i 2011. Resultatet før skatt var også på linje med første kvartal i fjor og endte på 4853 millioner kroner.

Statkraft AS – result for the fourth quarter of 2011: Lower prices and write-downs

(Oslo, 16 February 2012) In the fourth quarter of 2011, Statkraft achieved an underlying1 operating profit before depreciation (EBITDA) of NOK 3028 million, compared with NOK 5686 million in the corresponding quarter in 2010. As a result of unrealised changes in value for energy contracts and write-downs on production assets, the posted result after tax was a loss of NOK 673 million, compared with a profit of NOK 692 million in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Statkraft Adjusts Generation in Germany

Düsseldorf / Emden, 16 February 2012 – Statkraft is reducing its generation in Germany. The Emden based 430 MW gas-fired power plant will be put in cold reserve and the workforce will be reduced, Statkraft announced today. A biomass plant located on the same site will continue to operate on a standalone basis. The decision is based on a diligent market evaluation that assessed the plant’s future profitability.

Statkraft takes over Bardufoss power plant

(Oslo, 2 January 2012) Statkraft Energi AS and Troms Kraft Produksjon AS have agreed on the terms for the repurchase of Bardufoss power plant. Statkraft Energi AS will reacquire properties, plants and rights in connection with Bardufoss power plant from Troms Kraft Produksjon AS. The repurchase amount is NOK 450 million. Following clarification from the competition authorities, the personnel will be transferred to Statkraft.
