For 2008, the Statkraft Fund was awarded to the Ny Ålesund Symposium, Vitensenteret in Trondheim and Technichus in Härnösand (Sweden).

The Statkraft fund will be awarded to candidates, organizations and projects that have shown the ability to: 

1. Think in new ways
2. Develop opportunities
3. Create solutions   

 The Statkraft Fund cannot be awarded to commercial enterprises.

The deadline for applications is 30 November 2008.
The award will be made by the end of the year.

   Brief description of the organisation's/project’s purpose

3. How the organisation meets the objectives of the “Statkraft Fund "
   Brief description of how the organisation/foundation’s activities meet the objectives of the Statkraft Fund
4. Summary
   Brief summary of the application
5. How the Statkraft Fund’s financial support will be used
   Brief description of how the organisation/foundation intends to use the financial support provided by the Statkraft Fund
