Statkraft’s value created is re-allocated to society in the form of salaries to employees, interest paid to creditors, dividend to our owner, as well as taxes. Whatever is not re-allocated strengthens the Group’s equity, enabling further investments in pure energy.

Statkraft generated a total added value of NOK12,903 million in 2007. NOK6,873 million of this amount was returned to the company's owner as dividends and Group contributions. Central and local government taxes totalled NOK3,301 million. NOK1,361 million was paid to Norwegian local authorities, of which NOK630.4 million, 46%, was paid to the ten largest local authorities. The local authority to which Statkraft paid the largest amount in local tax, Vinje, received NOK91.8 million.
The Group’s around 2,300 employees received a total of NOK1,419 million in salaries and pensions in 2007.
Statkraft’s total investments in 2007 amounted to NOK3,783 million. Generating more environment-friendly power and increasing the beneficial extended effects of the Group’s investments are important for society’s welfare.
