In September 1999 Statkraft Markets GmbH opened its office in Düsseldorf. Focusing on sales and trading we are actively participating in the shaping of a thriving pan-European wholesale, spot and forward market for power and natural gas.
Statkraft Markets GmbH serves as a centralised trading hub for Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Our core businesses are trading and sales of electricity and natural gas, with a list of customers that count distributors, other traders, industrial consumers and power producers.
Liberalisation has put Europe on track to become the world’s most competitive energy market. Market size and location made Germany a natural springboard for Statkrafts expansion into Continental Europe.
