Statkraft Markets B.V. in Amsterdam was established in 1998, related to the liberalisation of the Dutch electricity market, which then started. The Dutch commitment to renewable energy has lead Statkraft Markets in Amsterdam to initially focus on green energy. Nowadays the office performs trading and origination activities related to global emissions and European renewable energy and assets.
The Dutch office performs activities related to emissions, renewable energy and assets.
The three continental Statkraft offices in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and Sofia all perform their main commercial activities under the name of Statkraft Markets GmbH in Düsseldorf. Employees from these offices work closely together in cross-office teams. In this set-up, the German office focuses on electricity and gas trading and origination; the Bulgarian office focuses on a diverse range of activities in its geographical area.
