  1. About us

Renewable energy

Energy from renewable sources is increasingly popular with policy makers and electricity consumers. Early 2007 the European Commission announced further measures to ascertain the increase of the share of renewable energy in the energy mix. This increased focus leads to a demand either at the voluntary market or at the policy-led market. Statkraft is active on both markets.

Emission trading

Statkraft’s Emissions Trading Team operates from the Amsterdam office. The natural CO2 positions resulting from Statkraft’s German gas fired power plants, which are now under construction, will also be managed from here.
