1. Increasing the operational scope and efficiency of hydropower turbines by means of water injection into the suction pipe. 

Task:  Assist Håkon H. Francke with his doctoral research into pressure pulsations in the suction pipe of a test rig set up by Mr Francke at the hydropower laboratory of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Objective:  To develop a pressure pulsation reducing device in the suction pipe of Francis turbines.

Qualifications:  Flow technology background.

2. Measuring the efficiency rate of hydropower plants 

Task:  To measure the efficiency rate of one of Statkraft’s power plants.

Qualifications:  Flow technology background.
