Statkraft AS has today made a tap issue of NOK 125 million in ISIN NO 001 034038.3 (STATK11 ). Correspondingly the company has bought back nominal value NOK 125 million in ISIN NO 001 034037.5 (STATK10). Both trades have been made at market terms.
Statkraft and Norfund agree new ownership structure for SN Power

Statkraft AS and Norfund have agreed a new ownership structure for SN Power. Statkraft increases its shareholding from 50 to 60 per cent from the implementation of the agreement, with an option of a further increase to 67 per cent by 2015. Norfund is guaranteed an opportunity to sell all or part of its shares during the same period. A separate company will be established for the development of power projects in Africa and Central America.

Statkraft posted a profit after tax of NOK 4,599 million (NOK 4,103 million)1 for the first three quarters of the year, and an underlying profit 2 after tax of NOK 5,205 million (NOK 4,044 million). The profit after tax for the third quarter was NOK 1,381 million (NOK 1,047 million), while the underlying profit after tax for same period was NOK 693 million (NOK 734 million). The result is strongly impacted by higher prices and production compared with in 2007.

Statkraft to supply electricity to Boliden Odda until 2030

Statkraft and Boliden Odda have signed two long-term commercial contracts for the supply of industrial power during the period 2009 to 2030. Totalling around 20 TWh, this is the largest industrial power supply contract Statkraft has entered into since 1998, and confirms the company’s role as the largest and most important supplier of electricity to Norway’s power-intensive industry. As part of the deal, Statkraft will take over Boliden Odda’s shares in AS Tyssefaldene.

Statkraft’s profit after tax for H1 was NOK 3,218 million (NOK 3,056 million) , while the underlying profit after tax for the same period was NOK 4,513 million (NOK 3,310 million). The result for the second quarter was impacted by unrealised changes in value. However, despite returning a post-tax loss for the period of NOK 585 million (profit of NOK 450 million), the company posted a strong underlying profit after tax of NOK 1,570 million (NOK 726 million). These results are impacted by higher prices and production compared with the corresponding prior-year period.

The Group posted a profit before tax for the first six months of the year of NOK 5,294 million (NOK 4,211 million), while the profit after tax was NOK 3,251 million (NOK 3,113 million). The adjusted profit after tax for the six months ending 30 June 2008 was NOK 4,546 million (NOK 3,366 million). In the second quarter of the year the Group recorded respective pre- and post-tax losses of NOK 438 million (profit of NOK 660 million) and NOK 606 million (profit of NOK 459 million). These losses are attributable to significant unrealised changes in value. Adjusted for these, and material non-recurring items, the Group posted a profit after tax of NOK 1,549 million (NOK 733 million).
Statkraft and E.ON have signed € 4.5 billion swap agreement

Statkraft AS and E.ON AG have signed a final agreement that will position Statkraft as a European leader in renewable energy. Statkraft acquires renewable and flexible power generation assets and shares in E.ON AG, in exchange for shares in E.ON Sverige AB. The total value of the asset swap is € 4.5 billion.
