One of Europe's largest wind farms to be established
(Oslo 7 October 2003) Smøla Wind Farm in the Norwegian county
of Møre og Romsdal is to be expanded by up to 55 windmills,
making it one of the largest wind farms in Europe. It will have
up to 75 windmills, with a total installed capacity of around
150 MW - equal to an annual production of some 450 GWh, or the
electricity requirements of approx. 20,000 households.
(Oslo 28 August 2003) The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Administration (NVE) has today granted Statkraft a licence for Kjøllefjord wind park in Lebesby municipality in Finnmark.
