The purchase of certificates from specific sources is therefore the surest means of acquiring specific amounts of electricity. RECS has conducted tests in which 170 organisations from 15 countries participated. More than 14 TWh of renewable energy certificates were issued. RECS certificates have proven to be the preferred instrument for the purchase of produced amounts of renewable energy.
