Environmental policy

The Statkraft Group’s environmental policy defines the company’s and the individual employee’s responsibility for conducting business in an environment-friendly manner. 

1. Care for the environment shall characterise all activities in the Statkraft Group, and we shall endeavour to achieve outstanding environmental performance. 
2. All activities in the Statkraft Group shall be exercised in accordance with the principle of sustainable development. 
3. The Statkraft Group shall operate an environmental management system that facilitates the ongoing improvement of environmental performance. 
4. The Statkraft Group shall endeavour to avoid undesired events that impact the environment. 
5. The Statkraft Group shall constantly improve its technologies and processes in order to benefit the environment and achieve efficient power utilisation. 
6. The Statkraft Group shall possess competence that secures innovation and responsibility with regard to all decisions and activities that impact the environment. 
7. Statkraft shall be aware of and openly communicate the environmental effects of the Group's decisions, activities and products.
