Sheringham Shoal will produce some 1.1 TWh a year, equivalent to the annual electricity requirements of 220,000 UK households. As an alternative to fossil fuels, this will save the environment around half a million tons of CO2 emissions each year. The wind farm is scheduled to be fully operational in 2012.
