The generator at Svartisen is in operation

The work related to getting the generator at the Svartisen power plant back in operation has been completed. As of Monday 12 March, the power plant will be operating at 300 MW for one week, and will subsequently operate at 350 MW up until 1 May. 

Pålsbu power plant will be the first in Norway to use environment-friendly lubricating oils

The Pålsbu power plant, which Statkraft is constructing in the uppermost part of Numedalslågen, will be the first hydropower plant in Norway to use environment-friendly lubricating oils.

Svartisen power plant out of operation for several months

One of Norway’s largest power plants, Svartisen in Glomfjord in Nordland County, will be out of operation for a long period as the result of major damage.The hydropower generating plant has broken down twice since August and will likely remain out of production for 4 to 5 months.
