We aim to capture as many new ideas as possible, and to this end hold creative workshops, reward good proposals, collaborate with external parties, and actively endeavour to find new opportunities.

Tools
The Innovation Department can implement idea-generating processes including, for example, creative workshops where required.

The Innovation Department has a set of criteria that is used as a tool to evaluate new ideas.

Financing
Statkraft has set aside its own funds to finance idea generation and evaluation. Resources will be allocated to proposals that are forwarded for investigation (idea qualification). 

Who decides?
When new ideas are submitted to the Innovation Department, the department’s management team decides which ideas should be further developed and the best way to do this.
 
An idea can be developed in several different ways. The idea can be:

• developed in the Innovation Department 
• transferred to Statkraft line operations
• forwarded to Statkraft’s Research and Development Council 
• recommended to INNOSA (The Statkraft alliance’s Innovation collaboration project)
