Statkraft's recruitment process

Have you applied or considered applying for a position with us? Here is some information on what to expect.

Application process for ordinary positions

1. Application

Apply directly for your position of interest by following the link in the advertisement. Upload your CV, application letter, diploma and/or other relevant documents. Your application and documentation should be in the same language as the job advertisement.

Once we receive your application, you will receive an email confirming this.

2. Background check

Because Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries, we conduct a certain level of background and reference checks before offering employment.

3. Interviews and work-related tests

If you are chosen as a candidate, you will be invited to an initial interview. In most recruitment processes in Statkraft, multiple rounds of interviews may be held before the final decision is made. You may also be asked to perform an aptitude test, personality test, and/or complete a case study or work-related test during the recruitment process.

4. Offer

The selected candidate will receive an offer from us and we will agree together on a start date. The remaining candidates will be informed that the position is filled. Even if an application does not result in an offer, we would still encourage motivated candidates to follow the career pages on our website and apply again if a position of interest comes up.

Note that the recruitment process in Statkraft may vary based on the position you apply for and the country where the position is located.

Application process for trainee programme

We offer a one-year international trainee programme for graduates who have recently completed their master's degree or are in their final year of study. The trainee recruitment process takes place in the fall.

1. Application

Apply directly for the trainee position of interest using our online application form. Upload your CV, application letter, diploma and/or other relevant documents. If you are still a student, include an official transcript of the grades you have achieved so far. Your application and documentation should be in the same language as the job advertisement. Once we receive your application, you will receive an email confirming this.

2. Interview

If you are chosen as a candidate you will be invited to an initial interview. The initial interview will normally take place at one of our locations or over Skype.

3. Test

Aptitude and personality tests are part of the trainee programme recruitment process. Candidates who are invited to an initial interview will be asked to complete an aptitude test prior to the interview. The aptitude test consists of a combination of a numerical reasoning test, a deductive reasoning test and an inductive reasoning test. Candidates who are invited to our assessment centre will be asked to complete a personality test prior to arriving. The personality test measures workplace preferences.

4. Assessment centre

Selected applicants will be invited to an assessment centre on our premises. Here you will meet the recruiting manager, Human Resources staff and other Statkraft employees. You will also have the opportunity to meet other candidates and trainees in Statkraft.

5. Offer and background check

Selected candidates will receive an offer from us. Note that a background check will be performed on candidates who accept an offer.
