Our energy sources

Statkraft currently has four wind farms in operation across the UK, and a number of projects under development.

Statkraft is a leading solar developer in the European market, having built over 100 projects in the UK alone.

Statkraft has more than a 120 years’ experience with hydropower, and is the largest producer of electricity from hydropower in Europe. Statkraft own and operate the hydropower plant in Rheidol, Wales.

Our history in the UK
Statkraft has been making clean energy possible for over a century. It began with hydropower in Norway, and expanded globally to harness a diverse and flexible supply of water, sun and wind. In 2006, our first office in the UK was established.
