Moinho hydropower plant is located on the Bernardo José River, a tributary of the Pelotas river, in the northern region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.
Ownership: 100 % owned by Statkraft Energias Renováveis, which is 81.3 % owned by Statkraft
Production: 61.6 GWh
Power: 14 MW
The power plant has an installed capacity of 13.7 MW and utilises a total head of approximately 47 metres.
The powerhouse has two Francis turbines which receive water by a 2,800 metre long tunnel, 4.75 metres in diameter.
The dam is a 20 metre high rolled compacted concrete dam and holds a reservoir of 12 hectars.
