Båtsvatn power plant is located inside a mountain at Lake Kobbvatn in Narvik Municipality in Nordland County.
Ownership: 100 %
Production: 130 GWh
Power: 30 MW
The power plant uses Lake Øvre Kjørisvatnet and Lake Gautelisvatnet as reservoirs, utilising a maximum height of fall of 214 metres. The power plant was commissioned in 1977, and has a 30 MW Francis turbine. The water resources from this power plant are also used by Skjomen power plant, which lies further down in the same watercourse, Skjomavassdraget.
The reception building at Båtsvatn power plant was originally designed for the harsh climate on the exposed mountainside and to provide overnight accommodation in case of bad winter weather.
