Bratsberg power plant is located on the Nid River in Trondheim Municipality in Sør-Trøndelag County.

Ownership: 100 %
Production: 650 GWh
Power: 124 MW

The power plant uses a height of fall of 147 metres from the regulating reservoir Lake Selbusjøen.

Bratsberg power plant is one of six power stations on the Nid River. Water is drawn directly from Lake Selbusjøen and transported in a 16-kilometre-long diversion tunnel through the power station to the outlet below Nedre Leirfoss. The tunnel has a cross section of 60 square metres. The height of fall of 147 metres is the sum of all the waterfalls and rapids in the Nid River.

The power plant was commissioned in 1977. It is equipped with two Francis turbines with a total installed capacity of 124 MW. Annual mean production is 650 GWh.
