Hekni is a run-of-river power plant located just below the village of Rysstad in Bygland Municipality in Aust-Agder County.
Ownership: Statkraft is an indirect co-owner through its ownership in Skagerak Energi and Agder Energi

The plant gets its operating water from the Otravassdraget watercourse and uses a height of fall of 38.5 metres from a dam at Tjuermo. The installed capacity is 56 MW.
The power plant is equipped with two Kaplan turbines and started production in 1995.
Through its ownership in Skagerak Energi AS and Agder Energi AS, Statkraft is co-owner of this power plant. Otra Energi Kraft AS is responsible for daily operations, and manages the licences and obligations in terms of river management and regulating of the watercourse.
