Solhom power plant is located in Kvinesdal Municipality in Vest-Agder County.

The power plant was part of the third phase of construction in the Sira-Kvina development and was completed in 1974.

The power plant is well hidden 1 200 metres inside a mountain. It uses a height of fall of 215 metres between the combined Lake Nesjar/Kvifjorden and Lake Holmstølvannet in the Kvina River, which is part of the Kvina watercourse.

The power plant has two generating units which are each equipped with a Francis turbine producing 100 MW.

Through its ownership in Skagerak Energi AS, Agder Energi AS and Sira-Kvina kraftselskap, Statkraft is co-owner of this power plant. Sira-Kvina kraftselskap is responsible for daily operations, and manages the licences and obligations in terms of river management and regulating of the watercourse.
