Horten District Heating
The district heating plant in Moloveien in Horten Municipality, Vestfold County replaces the former plant that was established in Strandparken.

Horten district heating plant was commissioned in December 2012, and is a marine heat pump plant. The plant delivers both district heating and district cooling.
The plant has two 1.2 MW heat pumps based on sea water and with ammonia as coolant, and two 4.5 MW LPG (liquefied propane gas) / biofuel boilers that currently run on LPG, but are equipped to run on biofuel in the future.
There are plans to upgrade this plant. When fully developed it will be capable of producing around 20 GWh in 2025.
Horten district heating plant is operated by Skagerak Varme AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Skagerak Energi AS.
