The power plant is integrated in the dam construction for the regulated Lake Tisleifjorden, which is the main reservoir for Åbjøra power plant.

The power plant, part of the Drammen watercourse, has a Kaplan propeller turbine producing 1.95 MW and uses a height of fall of 10.75 metres.

The power plant was commissioned in 2014 and has an average annual production of 6.5 GWh with about 270 production days per year.

Through its majority ownership in Skagerak Energi AS, Statkraft is co-owner of this power plant. Skagerak Kraft AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Skagerak Energi, is responsible for daily operations, and manages the licences and obligations in terms of river management and regulating of the watercourse.
