Vasstøl power plant is located in Suldal Municipality, Rogaland County and is one of Hydro's newest power plants.

The power plant began production in 2012.

Vasstøl is one of eight power plants in the Røldal-Suldal system, the other seven are Kvanndal, Middyr, Novle, Røldal, Svandalsflona, Suldal I and Suldal II.

The Røldal-Suldal system was originally developed in the 1960s to secure power for Hydro's aluminium production in Karmøy.

Vasstøl uses a height of fall of 150 metres from the Lake Finnabuvatn regulating reservoir. The power plant has one Francis turbine with an installed capacity of a little over 5 MW.

Norsk Hydro is the operator of Vasstøl power plant and responsible for daily operation.
