Storlia power plant

Norway / Hydropower / Power plant

Storlia power plant utilises a 75-metre height of fall between Lake Bjoreio and Lake Sysenvatn in Eidfjord Municipality.

The Storlia Power Plant has an installed capacity of 8.5 MW from two horizontal Francis turbines of 6 MW and 2.5 MW respectively. The power plant is built inside the mountain with an access tunnel from Storlia, on the lower side of National Road 7. The water will come from a new intake in Lake Bjoreio through a new head race tunnel into the power plant. An outlet tunnel will run from the power plant and end up in the existing diversion tunnel between Lake Bjoreio and Lake Sysenvatnet.
