"Today's announcement demonstrates the Government's commitment to the renewable energy industry, and provides greater certainty in the long-term future of the offshore wind sector in this country."

"It could also be a significant step forward in Statkraft's UK investment plans. As Europe's leader in renewable energy we have chosen to make the UK our strategic base for offshore wind development. This announcement will help take us closer to our final investment decision, subject to the State Aid clearance process for the new CfD regime."
