Ownership positions

Trondheim energi

Trondheim Energi is a wholly owned subsidiary of Statkraft which generates power at 14 of its own and five co-owned power plants, and operates the regional power grid and power distribution in Trondheim.

Skagerak energi 
Skagerak Energi is a co-owned subsidiary of Statkraft and a major power producer with 45 wholly owned or co-owned power plants in Southern Norway. The company is also responsible for the distribution grid in the Vestfold og Grenland region.

Fjordkraft 
Fjordkraft AS is a sales company which retails power to customers throughout Norway and is the country’s second biggest power supplier. Fjordkraft is owned by Statkraft, Skagerak Energi and BKK.

SAE Cind 
SAE Vind is the joint venture of Statkraft and Agder Energi for onshore wind power in Norway. SAE Vind is the country’s leading wind power company.

SN Power 
SN Power was founded in 2002 as a joint venture between Statkraft and Norfund and invests in hydropower projects in selected growth markets beyond Europe.


Småkraft 
Småkraft is owned by Statkraft, Skagerak Energi, Trondheim Energi, Agder Energi and BKK. The company aims to develop power plants at the 1–10 mW scale, in cooperation with local landowners.

Naturkraft
Naturkraft was established in 1994, and is owned by StatoilHydro and Statkraft, who own 50 % each. Naturkraft was established to use Norwegian gas to make electric power. The last few years the company has concentrated on Norway's first commercial gas power plant at Kårstø.

Subsidiaries

Devoll
Statkraft and the Austrian energy company EVN cooperate on hydro power development in Albania. Through a 50/50 joint venture the two companies wil build a hydro power plant in the Devoll river. This is one of the largest hydro power projects in Europe, and will increase Albania's total hydro power production by 20%.

Agder Energi 
54,5% of Agder energi is presently owned by local municipalities in southern Norway. Statkraft owns the other 45,5%. The 31 fully owned, and 16 partially owned power stations have a yearly production of 7,7 TWh, about 6% of Norway's power production.

BKK-
BKK is owned by Statkraft and 17 municipalities in western Norway. BKK is one of the largest energy companies in the country.
