New board members in Statkraft

(Oslo, 27 June 2014) Today three new board members were elected to the Statkraft board: Hilde Drønen, Elisabeth Morten and Harald von Heyden.

Hilde Drønen (1961, Bekkjarvik in Hordaland County) is CFO of DOF ASA (from 2007). She has previously been CFO of DOF Management AS (2004-2007), finance manager of Bergen Yards AS (2003-2004) and controller for the Møgster Group (1995-2003). Hilde Drønen is also a member of the board of Altinex ASA, Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Norwegian Energy Company ASA, in addition to serving as a board member/holding executive posts in a number of subsidiaries/joint ventures in the DOF Group. Drønen has a degree in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo and a degree in Business Management from BI Norwegian School of Business in Bergen. She has also studied law in Bergen.

Elisabeth Morthen (1959, Nes in Akershus County) currently works as a consultant. She has previously been executive vice president in TINE SA (2008-2012), vice president for marketing in the Norwegian Red Cross (2005-2008) and deputy director/acting group chief executive of Akershus Energi (1999-2000). She has served on a number of boards in the energy sector, including Agder Energi AS and Eidsiva Vannkraft AS, and in Innovation Norway. She has a degree in agricultural science, industrial and resource economics, from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) (1983).

Harald von Heyden (1971, Oslo) was until June 2012 a member of the management team of Vattenfall and responsible for structuring and implementing the business areas Trading and Asset Optimisation. He had been employed by the company since 2010. Harald von Heyden has fifteen years' experience from the energy industry. He has been head of Statkraft in Germany, established Elektrizitätsgesellschaft Laufenberg Nordic (EGL) and served as head and Chief Trading Officer for EGL AG. He holds a Master in Management from the University of Cambridge and has worked as a consultant for McKinsey, focusing on the energy sector, for four years.

Berit Rødseth was elected new deputy chair of the board.
