New green industry – Host Norway
Host Norway presents greenfield sites for large establishments in need of a greener footprint.
Green industry investors benefit from Host Norway's rich heritage, long term stability and unparalleled expertise as the renewables powerhouse of Europe.
Host Norway, a division within Statkraft reduces investor risk aiming at green industrysites and projects. Host Norway is a part of Statkraft - Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy, and a longtime facilitator for the power intensive industry.
Norway has the lowest wholesale electricity price and energy tax rates in Europe. Our reliable, high voltage grid eliminates the need for back-up generators, reducing operating costs significantly. Furthermore, approximately 97% of Norway’s electrical production is renewable, reducing the global emissions footprint for investors.
Host Norway projects all major infrastructures, i.e. access to redundant high voltage power grid, redundant dark fibre access, roads, water and sewage. Investors also benefit from one the safest and most stable societies in Europe, with very limited economic and political risk.
We have cooperated closely with the power intensive industry for more than 125 years. Our facilitator role is a natural continuation of our role as Europe’s largest renewable provider. Investors will benefit from our rich heritage, long term stability and unparalleled expertise as the renewables powerhouse of Europe. In addition, Statkraft offers all kinds of short- or long-term power contracts, PPAs and market access services, in what is considered to be the most well-functioning power market in the world.
