Shift of responsibilities in Statkraft’s Corporate Management effective 1 February 2013
The areas of responsibility of current Chief of Staff Hilde Bakken and Executive Vice President Generation and Industrial Ownership Steinar Bysveen will be changed as of 1 February 2013. Hilde Bakken will be responsible for Power Generation.
Steinar Bysveen will head a newly created area called Corporate Development including amongst others Strategy, Industrial Ownership and Mergers & Acquisitions as well as staff functions such as Corporate Responsibility, Health, Safety & Environment, Corporate Communications and Human Resources.
One of the major drivers for this decision is to strengthen the business area Power Generation and better reflect the role of operations and maintenance in the company’s business model.
Also, there is potential for even closer collaboration between corporate staff functions to facilitate corporate development. Co-organising Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions and Investment analysis and other corporate staff units with Industrial Ownership (IO) will contribute to this.
