Statkraft enters into 88MW solar PPA
Statkraft has entered into a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the renewable energy generated from an 88 MW (megawatt) portfolio of six utility-scale photovoltaic solar power plants across the UK.
The solar power plants were built by SunEdison who will continue to provide ongoing management and operations services for the plants.
The 15 year agreement with SunEdison, a leading solar technology manufacturer and provider of solar energy services, will see Statkraft purchase the energy and associated renewable benefits from the solar plants. They have a combined capacity to generate enough renewable energy to power 20,000 homes.
