A day in the life of a storyteller

Meet our colleague Phillip Navin who works as a Communication Advisor Content, in Oslo, Norway.

Phiip Navin

Introduction

"Hi, I am Phillip. I have been working with content and communications at Statkraft since 2024. Before joining the corporate world, I worked in the film and television industry. That experience continues to influence how I approach storytelling, always looking for creative, engaging ways to communicate complex ideas."

My morning

"On a good day, I wake up before my child and enjoy a quiet moment with coffee and industry news. More often, it is a busy morning getting ready for daycare drop-off, followed by a bus ride to the office. I usually start the day bycatching up on Teams and listening to a podcast. Mondays begin with a routine I call “reading the news,” where Ireview internal updates, company reports, and podcasts to stay informed and spot potential story ideas."

My lunch and afternoon

"After an early and much-appreciated lunch, I focus on content production. This includes scripting, editing videos, creating visuals, and writing stories. I block this time in my calendar to stay focused and maintain creative flow."

Team collaboration

"I work closely with our external communications and social media teams, often contributing to messaging around media activity or planned announcements. We have regular check-ins within the content team to share insights and collaborate. Our goal is to tell Statkraft’s story in a way that is transparent, trustworthy, and human, because sometimes, a well-placed laugh communicates more than a lengthy report."
