Wind projects in Chile
Statkraft has acquired three wind power projects in Chile with a planned installed capacity of 110 MW in total. The acquisition gives Statkraft an opportunity to take advantage of the great wind power potential in the area.
With the three planned wind projects, Statkraft can grow its renewable energy portfolio in Chile and contribute more clean and renewable energy to the Chilean electricity system.
Through the acquisition of the assets from Torsa Chile, Statkraft acquired three wind farms, which together will account for 109.35 MW. The three wind farms Cardonal (30 MW), Manantiales (27.6 MW) and Cerrillos (51.75 MW) are all located in the municipality of Litueche in the O'Higgins-region in the central area of the country.
