Esmeralda hydropower plant

Esmeralda hydropower plant is on the Bernardo José river in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

The power plant has a total head of 83.7m and the powerhouse is equipped with two Francis turbines, which receive water through a 1,222m long tunnel of 3m in diameter. The RCC dam is 11m high.
