  • 37 MW
    Installed capacity
  • 13.3 GWh

The power plant uses the water in the Bjørga reservoir. The reservoir was created by the construction of Hegsetdammen, a 30-metre-high concrete arch dam. The height of fall is 71 metres.

Water is also transferred to the plant via stream intakes from the Rotla and Krossåa Rivers. The plant mainly operates today as a flood water power plant, after the development of Nedre Nea power plant in 1989 significantly changed the original operation of Hegsetfoss power plant.

The power plant has a Francis turbine.
