The power plant lies above ground.

Downstream of the power plant is the reservoir known as Hydrodammen, which is the drinking water source for the Glomfjord community, and which also supplies Glomfjord Industrial Park with processing and cooling water.

Neverdalsåga power plant was built by Norsk Hydro and taken over by Statkraft on 1 July 2007.
