Makkoren power plant

Makkoren power plant is located in Høyanger Municipality in Vestland County.

The power plant uses a height of fall of 100 metres and is built inside a mountain, downstream from Lake Norddalsvatn. The power plant replaced Høyanger K4 power plant.

Makkoren power plant is equipped with what is called a compact generator, manufactured by Indar. It is equipped with a Francis turbine.

At the time this power plant was developed, a major environmental clean-up was completed that improved the natural surroundings and landscape following previous construction projects in the area.
