Tya power plant

Tya power plant is located on the Nea River in Tydal Municipality in Trøndelag County.

The power plant utilizes a height of fall of 203 metres from Lake Sellisjøen, which receives inflows from the regulated Tya and Lødølja rivers.

The generating unit for Tya power plant is located in the same machine hall as Nea power plant. The power plant is equipped with a Francis turbine.

In Tya power plant's diversion tunnel between Lake Håen and Lake Sellisjøen a small power plant was built in 2000. In this way, a 28 metre height of fall is utilised by Fossan power plant.
