Songa power plant

Songa power plant is located in Vinje Municipality in Vestfold and Telemark County.

Songa power plant was commissioned in 1964. The power plant uses the water resources in the Tokke/Vinje river system and parts of the Skien river system. The gross height of fall is 287 metres. The installed capacity is 140 MW.

Songa power plant is equipped with a Francis turbine, the largest generating unit available for delivery at the time.
