Nedre Nea power plant

Nedre Nea power plant is located on the Nea River in Selbu Municipality in Trøndelag County.

The power plant utilizes the height of fall in the Nea River between Lake Heggsetdammen and Bogstadhølen at the town of Moslett.

The power plant has a large catchment area measuring 1,765 square kilometres. Nedre Nea power plant uses Lake Heggsetdammen as its intake reservoir. The dam on the lake regulates the Nea River between 258 and 252 metres above sea level. Nedre Nea and Heggsetfoss power plants share an intake from this reservoir and its inflow system.

The height of fall is 98 metres and the power plant is equipped with a Francis turbine.
