Gardermoen district heating

The district heating plant at Gardermoen opened in 1998.

Statkraft Varme took over the plant and the district heating network at Gardermoen in November 2015 and has since been responsible for operating the facility.

The main network is 20 kilometres long and supplies several large commercial buildings, the largest being Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

The district heating plant at Gardermoen chiefly makes use of bio-energy sourced from the local area. Peak load requirements are met by electric boilers and heating oil.
